Former director and current writer and editor for the American Herbal Pharmacopeia for Botanical Medicine, Dr. Petrone is a faculty member of the University of Natural Medicine and author of the book “Mindfulness and Healing: A Clinician’s Guide.”

While we all strive for balance, in this workshop we will explore what it truly means to live a life in balance. Learn about homeostasis, allostasis, and equilibrium. Find out what balance means for immunity, hormones, brain health, the nervous system, mood, behavior, relationships, resilience, and dis-ease. Discover practical and effective ways to both attain and maintain a balanced and healthy life, including wholistic approaches to lifestyle choices, diet and nutrition, stress management, preventive wellness, depression, anxiety, and more. Especially amidst the demands and stresses of the holiday season, this workshop will provide valuable information and essential skills to support living a life in balance.

Rewrite Your Narrative
It’s a new year! Are you ready to view your past through a different lens, to change the old stories which have been self-perpetuating and self-limiting, perhaps keeping you stuck in ways you desire to change? Are you ready to become the author of your own life with a new empowered script? In this workshop, discover how past history, memory, and current experiences trigger reflex circuitry in the brain. Gain the valuable knowledge of how to switch from automatic reactions to conscious responses that can ultimately transform your life. Among other essential tools, learn how to rewire the brain to change thoughts and behavioral patterns which were once thought to be hardwired and unchangeable. Within a narrative framework, begin to rewrite your story, a story which acknowledges, honors, and celebrates your personal beliefs, values, experiences, dreams, and goals. It’s time!

The Mind-Body-Heart Connection
How do we develop mutual empathy, create a sense of being seen and heard, and increase response-ability in relationship? How does empowered relatedness support authenticity and intimacy while reconnecting with our own innate wholeness and that of others? In this workshop, explore the mind-body-heart connection and discover how to integrate these fundamental aspects of self. Learn about mindfulness and how it provides a foundation for personal and relational connection. Find out how feelings affect heart rhythms and dis-ease, how the brain and heart work interdependently, how an awakened heart improves overall health and wellbeing, and how the mind-body-heart connection can lead to a more enriched and enhanced life. In a safe and gentle space, acquire the knowledge and practice the essential skills for developing attuned, nurturing, genuine, and growth-fostering relationships that cultivate wholistic relationships. Dr. Petrone provides an integrative and comprehensive approach to health and wellness through individualized programs based on a bio-psycho-social model. Dr. Petrone focuses on the core causes of health concerns and assists in supporting the body and mind’s natural ability to restore balance and to heal through lifestyle changes, behavior modification, compassionate counseling, and education. Among the acute and chronic issues which may be addressed during a consultation are digestion, immunity, cardiovascular problems, respiratory symptoms, women’s health and hormonal imbalances, weight concerns, brain health and memory, allergies and sensitivities, fatigue and energy revitalization, stress-related disorders, preventive health, substance abuse and addictive behaviors, relationship issues, mood disorders, and grief and loss.
Initial 90-minute consultation: 1000 pesos
Follow-up consultations: 800 pesos per hour
